2. Information we process
Leaderboard information, stored in our database:
- the nickname you submit
- the confirmed payment amount
- the resulting ranking position
- the date and time the entry was created
- the payment status of the entry
- the Stripe Checkout session identifier used to confirm the payment and prevent duplicates
Technical and security information processed by our hosting and database infrastructure:
- IP address of the request
- browser and device information sent by your browser
- server request logs and timestamps
- security and error logs
We do not operate analytics, advertising, profiling or third-party tracking tools on this website.
3. Stripe (payments)
Card details are entered directly into Stripe Checkout, hosted by Stripe. Top Spot does not receive or store full card numbers, CVC/CVV codes or other complete sensitive card credentials. Stripe processes payment information as an independent processor/controller for purposes including payment processing, authentication, fraud prevention and regulatory compliance.
4. Supabase (database infrastructure)
Supabase provides the backend database infrastructure that stores leaderboard entries and payment-confirmation records, acting as a processor on our behalf.
5. Lovable (hosting and application infrastructure)
Lovable provides the application hosting, build and server-side infrastructure used to run this website, including the server-side request handling and associated technical logs.
6. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of the contract: creating your leaderboard entry, displaying your position and processing your payment.
- Legal obligations: tax, accounting and other statutory requirements where applicable.
- Legitimate interests: securing the service, preventing abuse and fraud, and maintaining technical logs.
- Consent: only where genuinely required for non-essential technologies. We currently use none, so no consent is requested for ordinary payment processing or for the strictly necessary technologies described in our Cookie Policy.
7. The public leaderboard
Your nickname, the amount paid, your position and, where displayed, the entry date are intentionally published publicly — this is the service you purchase. Do not submit personal information in a nickname unless you want it to be public.
8. Retention
- Leaderboard records may remain published for as long as the service operates.
- Transaction and accounting records are retained where legally required.
- Technical and security logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security and troubleshooting.
- Information may be retained longer where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request:
- access to your information
- rectification of inaccurate information
- deletion where applicable
- restriction of processing
- objection to processing based on legitimate interests
- portability where applicable
- withdrawal of consent, where consent is the legal basis

10. International transfers
Our providers (including Stripe, Supabase and Lovable) may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, such transfers rely on recognised legal safeguards made available by those providers, for example adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses as described in their own policies.
11. Children
The service is not intended for children. It is intended for persons aged 18 or over, or otherwise legally capable of entering into the transaction.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is 2026-08-28 and the date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
